Resolution [HD]



good story
If you are looking for special effects, pass this up.

"Resolution" had excellent acting, and refreshingly non-formulaic plot.

It is a wonderful, existential movie that also works well on the level of suspense and horror.
A quote from the movie that helps sum up the storyline:

"How does an isolated tribesman in Ecuador know the difference between an alien, an angel, and a ghost? He doesn't, but he tells a story to make sense of the infinite."

The film inspires a person to examine it in several different ways. It can be looked at as a mystery (you figure out what is filming them. Do you believe it all depends on perspective?

What gives life meaning? Are you really aware of how much you value it? How do we attempt to examine the unknown? Is there always a happy ending if you do the right thing?

The more engaged you are, the more you will get out of it.

ending is abrupt but effective. good acting from all and great use of local sites and natural lighting. worth watching

Ultra slow burn creep fest
Resolution is an excellent, slow burn horror movie focusing on a pair of friends as one tries to kick a nasty drug habit. Staying at an abandoned house in the woods, the pair receive stories in various formats that all have violent endings. From there, the sense of dread builds and builds as the two friends grapple with the addiction that brought them to this point and with the growing horror that something is not right in the woods.

Resolution is well-made, low budget, and relies on the the building of tension instead of blood or more direct scares.What is there is effective, unnerving, and bizarre. The two leads are great together and really make the movie work, which is crucial since it is just the two of them on-screen for most of the movie.

The movie had some points I did not enjoy. The level of tension never went beyond creepy, the pacing was uneven for me, and I'm sorry, but I need some rules in my horror movies, I won't say anymore so as not to ruin the...
